The outside band features the profile of a Native American in full headdress. It is surrounded by 13 stars, representing the 13 original US colonies, and the inscriptions “LIBERTY” and “1929”.
The inside of the band features a Bald Eagle holding a fasces and olive branch, symbolizing military might and a desire for peace. The inside band also displays: “GOLDEN STATE MINT”, “E PLURIBUS UNUM”, “IN GOD WE TRUST”, and “1 TROY OZ. 999 FINE SILVER”.
